SUMMER FISHING
Dixon Lake is an excellent family fishing lake with varying depths, weed beds,
islands, and 9 miles of shoreline. It is noted for its awesome spring walleyes and crappies. Northern pike, jumbo
perch, sunnies and an occasional large mouth bass are also present. Dixon lake is 660 acres in size with
a max. depth of 30 feet. We provide many conveniences for our guests including bait, tackle, gas, oil,
motors, boats, 5 docks, a fish cleaning house and extra freezer space to store your catch. We
are just 7 miles fom Lake Winnibigoshish which is one of the best walleye and northern pike lakes in the state and holds
the state record for muskie. The 3rd River Flowage of Lake Winnie also produces excellent numbers of jumbo perch, walleye,
northern pike and some really big crappies. The road down to Winnies north end access is just at the end of our
drive way so its an easy quick 5 minute drive to get there! Once there you'll find a good cement pad access, plenty
of parking, great fishing and some protection from the wind too! In the winter season we offer dark houses and angling
houses on Big Winnie also.
Hunting...
GROUSE, DUCKS, GEESE, DEER WE HAVE THEM ALL AND GOOD NUMBERS TOO!
The area holds many small lakes, streams and trails and hundreds of
acres of state and federal forests. A hunter could pick and choose which direction to head for excellent hunting of
all types. The deer are plentiful and we do get some with nice racks here too, now and then. The geese and duck
numbers have been fluctuating in the past few years but we still have a ggod time and get some bids. Being close to
Winnie is always a plus for duck hunting! Our grouse hunting is always a blast with trails galore for the avid
hunter, you can go out in any direction and find yourself some great hunting.
